1. Useful Structures - Những cấu trúc hữu ích

• I prefer + V-ing:

Ví dụ: I prefer reading books in my free time.

• I would rather + V

Ví dụ: I would rather listen to music in my free time.

• I enjoy + V-ing

Ví dụ: I enjoy playing the piano in my free time.

• I am keen on + V-ing

Ví dụ: I am keen on painting in my free time.

• I have a passion for + V-ing:

Ví dụ: I have a passion for writing in my free time.

2. Tips - Những bí quyết hữu ích khi làm bài

• Give reasons to your answers - Hãy đưa ra lí do cho câu trả lời của bạn

Ví dụ: I prefer reading books in my free time because it helps me relax after a long day.

• Give examples for your answers - Hãy đưa ra những giải thích thêm hoặc ví dụ cho câu trả lời của bạn:

Ví dụ: I would rather listen to music, such as pop or rock, in my free time.

• Remember to interact with your partner - Hãy nhớ tương tác với người thí sinh còn lại bằng những câu “What about you?”, “Do you?”

Ví dụ: I enjoy playing the piano in my free time. Do you?

           I am keen on painting in my free time. What about you?

3. Ví dụ về đề và câu trả lời mẫu

A: Well, I don’t get much chance to spend time with my friends because I usually have a lot of schoolwork to finish. But when I do, we usually enjoy watching movies together. Since we don’t share the same taste, it was always hard to choose what movie to watch. I like action movies, and most of my friends like fiction, so we usually end up with a detective kind of movie in the end. What about you?

B: Well just like you, I don’t have a lot of time either. My friends and I usually only meet up once a week on Sunday, and we would do some outdoor activities together. I am really keen on bicycling, while my friends prefer skateboarding. But still, we always had a great time whenever we were with each other. Do you guys do outdoor activities sometimes too?

A: Very rarely! We would rather indoor activities like playing video games. Sometimes we play chess too, or we would organize a study session and just do homework together. Sounds a little boring right?

B: No not at all! As long as you are with your friends, everything you do will become much more fun!

A: I totally agree!
