Describe a person/something that made you laugh. You should say:

I’ve had several funny experiences in my life, in most of them I am the butt of the joke. This is luckily not one of those stories, which is a story of my little brother. When we were younger, perhaps 5 or 6 years old, our parents took us to visit a petting farm. We loved animals when we were younger and were able to interact with some directly would make us ecstatic.
The ride to the petting zoo was filled with conversations of all the animals we hoped to see and play with. Our imagination ran wild of course, from common animals like pigs and ducks, to more interesting animals like dragons and unicorns. Before you know it we were at this little farm in the outskirts of the city filled with families and animals. We played with all the standard farm animals you can think of, but then came a llama, which was something we had never seen in real life.
I had seen them on TV and heard about how they would spit on people if they were annoyed. My mischievous brain instantly came up with a plan. I told my brother that if he approached a llama and laughed really hard in its face, it would laugh along with him. He of course rushed over, climbed on the fence and started cackling like a madman.
The llama did not appreciate this of course, reared back it’s head and spat right on my brother’s face. It was the single greatest moment in my life up to that point and I doubled over in laughter until my belly hurt. My brother of course was not happy with it or with me.

I don’t think I can find the right words to define such an abstract idea, it’s just something you feel. I think people tend to look at it as a holy grail to reach, which makes it harder to be happy. I see it as a process or a course of action. You choose to be happy with what you do and who you are with. It’s just a feeling that makes you want to get out of bed every morning. It’s something that constantly builds up and that you can share with others.

I think it’s fair to say that comedy is an extremely popular genre. Imagine you’ve had a long, complicated day. You are looking unwind and forget about what happened in at work, something that didn’t go right or something that someone said that made you feel awful. So watching something that will make you laugh is always welcome and helps release some of that stress and make you feel better.

I don’t think I could choose for my entire country, but I can say that Jerry Seinfeld is my favourite stand up comedian. His comedy is clean, simple and his delivery is well thought-out. There’s a reason his career has lasted as long as it has. And unlike other comedians from his generation, his brand of comedy doesn’t grow stale, his observational humour stays relevant with the audiences even if you’re watching most recent shows or something he taped 20 years ago.

I seek the company of my friends, just being near them helps even if it doesn’t solve the problems I might be going through. If that’s not possible I look for comfort in music, that usually will lift my spirits if I choose to listen to something cheerful or I can also choose to listen to something sad if I feel like wallowing in my sadness for a bit. If that does not work I’ll turn to my TV for reruns of shows like Friends or How I met your mother. The familiarity of them gives me solace and company.

I think children are not weighed down by expectations of society. We slowly learn what people expect from us and that tends to molds who we are and what we do. Children have none of these constraints yet, so they do whatever makes them happy, they don’t doubt themselves as much and since we don’t expect as much from them so they have more freedom and that makes them happier all around.
