“There is” là một cấu trúc cực kỳ phổ biến trong tiếng Anh. Chúng ta sử dụng “there is” để chỉ sự tồn tại của một thứ gì đó và được dịch là “có”.
“There is” được kết hợp với danh từ số ít đếm được và danh từ không đếm được.

There are = there’re There are not = there aren’t
Khi liệt kê nhiều danh từ, các danh từ vừa là số ít vừa là số nhiều, vừa không đếm được, ta chia there is / there are phụ thuộc vào danh từ gần với nó nhất.
